Kickin’ The Habit (Hopefully)

Well. This is my first “formal” blog post, you could say, on a more “formal” platform. It’s gonna be different from what I’m used to but surely with time I will ease into it.

Which segues into the main idea of this post. I…want to begin breaking bad habits, and admittedly, I have quite a few. Both private and finance related. But it’s best to start off with something simple. One thing that occurs more often than it should is going to sleep late. On weekdays I usually stay up until 12 AM and get only 6 hours of sleep, and on weekends I stay awake even longer. Usually this impacts my ability to focus in school because it makes me drowsy, but in the moment it gives me extra time to chat with my online buddies after doing my homework. And I can’t help it because they make me so happy, and I want to spend the extra time with them…

This blog will be primarily personal finance related, of course. But this is something that has been on my mind that I want to tackle. If I get to the core of the problem perhaps I can make better spending decisions because I will be more alert! I guess. Maybe.
